 Member Since: December 9, 2013  RK: 1 MP: 0   | Monday July 7, 2014 6:50 AM I was unsure at first whether I would be able to take part this month, in the end things where going well so I decided upon a small threat once again for this month. I have quickly snapped some pictures of the models I plan to paint, my desk is a little crowded at the moment and so I wasn't able to set the miniatures up properly to photograph. Excuse the objects and things in the background of the photographs, with the start of my uni semester commencing soon, I have been working on the creation of the electronics which will be behind a large New Media based Artwork (Contemporary Artwork) for the Graduation Show. These are some pretty nice miniatures and upon getting the chance to look at them up close, you relies there is a lot of detail in them. Colour wise I am thinking Crimson Fists, out of all the Space Marine Chapters out there, they have been the chapter to succeed in drawing my interests.Once again I wish everyone the best with their own paint threats and I look forward to seeing many amazing things from you all  Here are the pictures:     |

Firstly I have had a few set backs, one was unintentional, the other was intentional. The unintentional one was that the second exclusive space marine captain ended up back in the simple green. When I had tried to glue the legs in place I had found it had chipped all the freshly applied paint off the loin cloth and cloak, it was also not sitting right due to some excess super glue. hopefully I can get him cleaned up soon and back on track with my paint threat. The first Space Marine Captain has had all the base coats applied as well as the washes. Here are the pictures of how he has progressed and also there are a few pictures of what has grabbed my attention as of late (miniature wise):           As you can see from the photos I have built the Tarathiel MoonElf from Pegaso Models, this miniature is a 75mm one made from white metal and towers above the Space Marine Captain. This will not be a part of this months paint threat. Instead as I won't be able to take part in coming paint threats, due to my second semester of uni commencing, this will be a mini that I will paint over the rest of the year in the small pockets of time that I will have free. I will probably start up a thread on here if any one is interesting in seeing how this model progresses. this was the big distraction/intentional set back, and this is mainly due to the assembly factor of the Elf miniature. Unlike smaller miniatures, it is a necessity to pin this model due to the wait of each component, I also made use of two part epoxy glue rather than super glue due to its added strength and durability. lots of greenstuff was used to fill in the gaps, blending the two parts of the model together, this also had to be sanded/filed back to help make these blends seamless. Once again I hope everyone else is having a win with there own paint threats, I look forward to seeing all the amazing things that are produced by each and everyone of you.
