 Member Since: August 3, 2013  RK: 1 MP: 0   | Saturday January 4, 2014 6:14 PM This month I'm aiming big with a model larger than life: a Mountain King!  From the Trollblood line in Hordes (from Privateer Press). This model is actually pretty big. The largest I painted for commission so far. The "smaller" beasty by its side is an Earthborn Dire Troll (not very small either). I have to use him as a loose guideline for the paint scheme. This is gonna be fun ! ---- BUT FIRST, these guys...  I painted Alexia Ciannor last month. Now it's the boys turn. 20 Risens and 3 Thrall Warriors. Good news: client wants them in a kinda "ghostly" scheme. Like a bunch of spirits. But I decided to take down the Risen first and get them out of the way. Sorry about that  Here. The little guys are done. The *many* little guys... SPECTRAL RISEN AHOY!   Alexia finally have friends coming to the party! (bonus showcase pic)  ---- Aaaaaaaaand for no particular reason, pics of how I did the base inserts from plasticard:    And a production pic. This was about mid way in the painting process. Just after a wash with dark turquoise (before the final white drybrush).  Now... The King awaits...
