I'm going to suggest watching your primer, it looks like it came out gritty, and the texture is showing through the really nice thin layers of paint you've laid down for the actual colors. |

Member Since: August 7, 2014 Initative RK: 1 MP: 0 | Tuesday September 2, 2014 3:43 PM Thanx, I noticed that also, especially on the Mr. Tom. Priming with an airbrush so not sure how that happened. Not sure if maybe I got some dust on the figs while the primer was drying, I guess it could also happen if I hold the brush to far away, will watch that the next time. It wasn't very noticeable until I started taking the closeup pics. I primed the next set of minis I'm working on at the same time and already noticed a couple of spots on one, thinking of doing some chipping damage to try and cover it up. |

Member Since: April 5, 2014 Initative RK: 1 MP: 0 | Wednesday September 3, 2014 4:35 AM If I recall correctly, at least with rattle cans it's holding them too far away, especially in warm environments, due to part of the paint curing in midair. I would not be surprised if this was also the case with airbrush as I can't think of anything to prevent the same effect, though I'm not the best person to answer this question since I use rattle cans to prime still, and have never laid hands on an airbrush.Chipping sound like it would work for the others, or alternatively if it's patchy texture, scorch marks since heat could cause paint to blister or bubble. |
