 Member Since: June 15, 2013  RK: 1 MP: 0   | Thursday August 1, 2013 1:58 PM Here is what I'll be doing this month:A Tau Riptide in the color scheme of O'vesa from the tau supplement farsight enclave  Longstrike (Tau hammerhead special character)  and 2 ion cannons for hammerheads.  I'm doing all those because I'll be needing them painted when I go play MWG Dave in September and I need all the things in my list painted for that, So here's a start to me not getting a life for the next 4 weeks  |

Member Since: June 15, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Sunday August 4, 2013 8:03 PM In the circle of Brush 4 Hire's Austin's MWG live show, we call that a "Non-copyrighted-glow-effect" since that word can't be freely used without fear of an incoming lawsuit for copyright infringement. It's always fun to have people complimenting your work. It might not seem like a scheme that would be hard to do but it's a lot of correcting slight overpainting mistakes and can take quite some time on varrying pieces. Starting Longstrike tonight, hopefully going to get it done for tomorrow and start the riptide afterwards. |

 Member Since: August 3, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Sunday August 4, 2013 10:33 PM I don't think I could have the patience to paint those lines.I would try a very bright colored oil wash over the base color(inside) and very light dry brush of that same hue on the parts that are affected by the glow ( so not much). I only say this as I would test if it would work, can't imagine masking off those lines. Kudos to you brother |

Member Since: June 15, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Monday August 5, 2013 6:43 PM Hehe feel free to try that my friend.Austin from B4H for a quick tutorial on glow effects painted the in-lining of the panels in white and used an airbrush with color to get the glow effect. Since I don't have an airbrush and I like to make my life complicated... I'm using paint for the color too! On a side note, here's Longstrike's head:  |
