 Member Since: August 5, 2013  RK: 1 MP: 0   | Saturday September 14, 2013 9:05 AM I think I learned this from Les a few year ago. but the best way to get yellow is with Vallejo model air white as a base and then Vallejo model air yellow. You can even thin it down a bit a still get yellow over black is two coat and be fairy smooth. the air brush paint just has so much pigment in it. |

And thanks for the tip Iron_House_Studio - I will definitely try that next time I need some solid yellow anywhere  Here are some more WIP pics. I am thinking they are almost done. So if you recall (or scroll up), I was painting these models for a friend. Yesterday I brought these models to said friend to show him. Basically he was very happy with them as they were, and said in so many words, "Awesome!", "Thanks!", and "Done!!" So that means that the pics above are the finished threat as judged by the person that will have the models. I think it is great that he likes them, and am glad to be done painting them, but this did leave a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth - something like, "I could have done more/better..." Sooooo... time to find something from my own collection that is cool and interesting for a bonus!! I will get pics up as soon as I decide! |
