Member Since: May 13, 2013 RK: 1 MP: 0 | Wednesday October 16, 2013 10:49 PM still no update...kind of stuck on exactly how i want to do the hoofs and scythes... they are bone now... posting images take some doing and so i'll hold off for now...need some ideas to pop in my head...only 15 days to go after tonight and i wanted to do more of the 'nids....cool thing is my friend came by and was taking photos and freaking a bit about it and he's been painting and playing 40k from Rogue trader days....so i was stoked he was so stoked.... only thing is he's space wolves and calls me a heretic... too funny my army is all Chaos and my daughter's are Dark Eldar... all baddies in this house ... Untitled by dhstarwars, on Flickr I worked on the scythes a bit...my first attempt at layering...and through impatience i made it look a bit crappy...but I went back and cleaned it up a bit via wetblending... base is ready for it's simple gray dry brushing....if this was my model i'd put a ton more time...but i wanted to get it done and get working on the rest of the 'nids army...lot's to do and no time to do so... Also need to get a better camera...something that is worth a damn close up...my old iPhone will have to do for now....peace [[Edited by dhstarwars on Monday October 21, 2013 9:31 PM]] |

I did ask Matt at MWG about using him in a game and he answered on this Sit and Talk! says he's fun to run on a table...but dies pretty fast...but made my son stoked about using him.......I know I didn't put any extra ground clutter...agian it's not my model and I did it more for the experience of doing some 'nids work...so I did...and it was cool to have this challenge to push me in completing this or any model!! THANK WGC for creating this and I hope to get more models using this tactic in motivation.... Oh and if you say the orange looks a little plasticee well that's what what I wanted...there are fleshy parts like the wounds (mostly squid orange) and so i wanted the orange parts to be more flexible armor Zach loves the green & Orange color template....so since that's what his army is completely i've kept that...so here's the finished photos... image-5 by dhstarwars  image-4 by dhstarwars  image-3 by dhstarwars  image-2 by dhstarwars  image by dhstarwars, on Flickr Man my son's iPhone is way better than mine......that just isn't right!!!
