I use windex and also a thinned down windex solution to clean with. Even when i clean my hand brushes i will wet them with windex firstnto help break down some of the hard to get stuff. I never spray with it though. I try to be careful about cleaning to much mid stream. If im switching from red to blue for instance, i used to nearly break my air brush down and soak it in my cleaning solution but i kept getting junk in my tip.so now i just run thinner thru it until it sprays clear, as not to break anything loose that may have dryied. Then ill let it soak over night in cleaner. I thin my paints with an alcohol glycerine water mix. I clean with windex.
Thanks for your reply, I was told by someone in a hobby shop that you can also use isopropyl alcohol as a thinner mixed with water so I might try that.
If you are using Tamiya, then that is a very good to thin with. I used to just thin with 91% isopropyl alcohol until someone told me to try the Tamiya Lacquer Thinner instead.
Thanks again Chung for your reply, yes I will be using Tamiya paints so isopropyl alcohol wll be good to use a thinner. I still have some Tamiya thiners left so I could still use that but have not used it for over 3 years, I put them both together and they smell practically the same.
