I love the red Power weapons they are how they was painted them in the olden day  Have you seen FearGFX video? It pretty awsomes. Hope this helped a little. I like to paint mine in a marble effect with maybe a little osl coming from the actual generator in the middle. |

I don't mind the dark blue to white gradient so much, but I never did care for the lightning crackling around. As you say, they just store the power until contact. Do you have any pictures of your Thunder Hammers to show off? Sounds like it may be a little more along the lines of what I was thinking. Something like this maybe? Seems like it's glowing from inside, which would just be a small OSL on the center of the hammer head sides, and then the generator and/or cables. Not too hard I don't think. Would just need to keep the hammer head from looking like it was glowing too brightly.  I've got guitar wires for tubing/cords, maybe do them up as though they're glowing as well. That would clearly show there's power flowing.
